Please join us for an introduction to the ancient art and science of Jyotisha (the study of light). Also known as Vedic Astrology or Indian Astrology, Jyotisha is a system of divining the nature of the karmic patterns in a person’s life through the observation of the placement and patterns of the cosmos.
Jyotisha can be used to help people understand and align to their Karma and act in ways that increase the flow of Grace into their lives. When we understand our own Karmic patterns, we can use our free will to change the things we can, and graciously accept the things we cannot, resulting in clarity, perspective and peace of mind.
Each planet, constellation and house in a Horoscope has their own meanings. It’s the interplay of the meanings of each one with all of the others that gives each person their individuality and unique life experiences.
In this class we will explore the basics of Jyotisha including:
• A discussion of the nature and types of Karma
• How Jyotisha differs from Western Astrology
• The layout and meanings of the houses in the Horoscope
• The meanings of the planets in the Horoscope
THOSE WHO REGISTER BEFORE APRIL 11 AND PROVIDE THEIR BIRTH INFORMATION WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF THEIR HOROSCOPE, AND MAY HAVE THEIR HOROSCOPE USED (ANONYMOUSLY) DURING THE CLASS FOR TEACHING PURPOSES.
